Effective July 1, 2009 and pursuant to Virginia
Code section 19.2-354 and 46.2-395, the Norfolk
Circuit Court has established guidelines for the
payment of fines, costs, forfeitures and penalties
assessed by Circuit Court.
Poole Mahoney, P.C. is the collection agent
for the recovery of delinquent fines , costs,
forfeitures and penalties.
If your account (s) is/are being collected by
Poole Mahoney, P.C.,
please note the following
conditions and mandatory requirements
that must be satisfied in order for you to qualify
for the deferred or installment payments under
section
19.2-354 and 46.2-395.

The defendant will be responsible for
supplying the Clerk’s Office with a copy of
his/her current DMV transcript indicating
which convictions have resulted in license
suspension.

You must complete the attached Norfolk Circuit
Court Request for Deferred Payment Agreement
form.

You must take the Request for Deferred Payment
Agreement form to
Poole Mahoney,
P.C. along with documentation
verifying your status as a Virginia resident.
Such proof includes current utility
bills, current leases, identification cards,
checking accounts, etc.

At the time of presenting your written request
to
Poole Mahoney,
P.C. you must make an initial
payment of your outstanding fines, costs,
forfeitures or penalties with either cash,
money order, certified check or cashier’s
check as determined by Poole Mahoney, P.C.

You will be required to complete the attached
personal information worksheet and provide the
following documentation to
Poole Mahoney,
P.C.; your last check stub, your
most recent W-2 tax forms or tax return prior
to
Poole Mahoney,
P.C. processing your deferred
payment plan request.

The length of the deferral period shall be
determined on a case-by-case basis, and such
decision is to be made exclusively by
Poole Mahoney,
P.C.

If you are eligible for a deferred payment
agreement plan, you will receive a receipt
from
Poole Mahoney, P.C. You will be
required to appear at the Norfolk Circuit
Court Clerk’s Office to have a deputy clerk
complete the payment agreement plan.

As a condition to your applying for and
receiving a deferred payment arrangement, your
must provide written notice to
Poole Mahoney,
P.C. and the Norfolk Circuit
Court Clerk’s Office of any changes in
employment or address.

These conditions are effective July 1, 2009
and remain in effect until changed by the
Clerk of Court, Norfolk Circuit Court.
